Technical material specifications & project FAQs

What is the difference between Venetian plaster and micro cement?

Venetian plaster is a lime-and-marble-dust compound for vertical walls and ceilings, valued for breathability and light-reflective depth. Micro cement is a polymer-modified cementitious system for extreme impact and water resistance — ideal for seamless floors, wet areas and countertops.

How do you prepare walls for Venetian plaster?

A strict four-step protocol: substrate inspection (level, cured, sound), mechanical priming with a quartz-grit aggregate, 2–3 micro-layers of authentic plaster with Italian steel trowels, then burnishing and a breathable wax seal.

Why is Venetian plaster an eco-friendly wall finish?

It is composed entirely of natural earth elements with zero VOCs. Lime is highly alkaline, acting as a natural fungicide, and its open crystalline structure lets internal moisture escape — regulating humidity and improving air quality.
